This was, hands down, the most unique (and nautical!) wedding I’ve ever had the pleasure to film!
Bridal preparations took place in a beautiful wooden beach house in the Sandbanks area of Poole, followed by an intimate wedding at St Mary’s Church on Brownsea Island – only the 52nd ever wedding to be held in this church in which the Dorset ‘Queen’, has, in 1938, the vintage motor yacht, ferried first the Groom and groomsmen, then the wedding party, and lastly, the flange across to Brownsea island.
Once Sophie and Tom had tied the knot, the entire wedding party boarded the Dorset Queen once more for a cocktail cruise around Poole Harbour.
The reception of this then hero across the water from Sandbanks at Studland s Shell Bay restaurant, overlooking the bay of Brownsea island and Poole Harbour. Sophie and Tom braved the busy entrance to Poole harbour, on a small motor boat, while the wedding party travelled across using the chain ferry.
Of unforgettable wedding!
